A pair of Vanity Fair chromolithographs after Leslie "Spy" Ward printed by Vincent Brooks, Day & Son. The pair includes "Fair, if not Beautiful" depicting a judge with a feather quill in his mouth (Jan. 24th, 1901); and "The People's William" depicting former British Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone (July 1st, 1879). Each are signed in plate "Spy" (Leslie Ward's pseudonym) in plate. "Fair, if not Beautiful" frame's paint is chipping away; surface scratches and chips to frames; toning; creases; illegible handwriting towards the bottom right of "People's William"; spots and smudges to glass. Largest, "Fair if not Beautiful" measures approx. 13.5" W x 19.25" H.
