In 1952, Monroe and her future husband Joe DiMaggio (1914-1999), the ex-New York Yankees baseball legend, lived at the Castilian Drive address in a neighborhood called Outpost Estates. Monthly rent for the Spanish style villa was around $230 a month, or the equivalent of $2,200 in 2019 currency. In December 2018, the four-bedroom house went up for sale for $2.7 million.
