Moore front loading revolver with a 3.25-inch barrel and six shot cylinder. These weapons were produced from 1864-1870.Barrel marking of “MOORE’S PAT. FIREARMS CO. BROOKLYN, N.Y.” is either worn away, or was never applied. Blade front sight is present. The cylinder has the same finish as the barrel and the markings of “D. WILLIAMSON’S PATENT / JANUARY 5, 1864”along the cylinders edge are easily readable. Cylinder indexes properly and is tight at full-cock. The frame is silver plated brass and still shows the excellent engraved scrollwork design on both sides and underneath. Hook extractor is not present. Bird's head walnut grips are present and show some wear as does the grip frame. Functions well. Polished shiny years ago.
