Description
This is an excellent map documenting an important battle of the Revolutionary War. The map shows the positions of Baron de Viomenil, General Washington, Count Rochambeau, General Clinton and General Cox. American artillery, the French Hospital, and numerous troop positions are shown. The American forces are shown in Blue. Rich additional details include rivers, creeks, marshes, roads, York itself, etc. Near the center of the map the notation documents the end of the war, Field where the British laid down their Arms. From the Atlas to Marshall's Life of Washington, published by J Crissy. This is a museum discard copy.
