The collectible California Arts & Architecture issues have front cover illustrations of Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood by Millard Sheets and "Yosemite in Spring" by Benjamin Brown. Touring Topics, originally published in Beverly Hills by the Automobile Club of Southern California, was about to be renamed "Westways" and convert from a travel focus to general reportage of California art and culture. These issues have covers with both Art Deco illustrations and "western" art by Don Masefield Easton and A. Honeywell. Also from Beverly Hills, the "California Revue", which ran for only five issues, catered to movie stars and itinerant royalty and featured articles on art galleries and polo matches. "California Around n'About" was published in Pasadena by posh Los Angeles hotels for "a highly selective and exclusive group of persons, socially prominent in California..." and showed photos of polo, tennis, and steeple-jumping diversions for the Los Angeles idle rich.
