Description
A lot of seven memorial covers for the United States zeppelin airships Akron and Macon. With an overall length of 785 ft (239 m), Akron and her sister ship Macon were among the largest flying objects ever built. The Akron met its end in 1933, while the Macon crashed in 1935. The postmark on two of the covers reads Sunnyvale. This was the location of Moffet Field, where they were based.
