"Biographical Memoirs of Lord Viscount Nelson with Observations Critical and Explanatory", by John Charnock. New York: McCarty and White, 1810. 8vo. Hardbound paper boards; cover detached and spine with losses, handling wear and stains, ink inscription on inside front board, portrait frontispiece, folding map of the "Disposition of the English and French Fleets at the commencement of the Action, August 1st, 1798", depicting the mouth of the Nile with battle ships in placement, fortress and inset view of Bokier Castle; map with light small stains, small tears with loss at left. Fair condition. "Sur la Formation des Troupes pour le combat", by General Jomini. Paris: library of Military Arts and Sciences, Ch. Tanera, editor, 1856. 8vo. Hardbound in buckram with leather spine, ruled edges, first title page with ink inscription. Forward text in French, the rest of book in English, bound in parts. In the middle of the book there are two to three pages with gunky spots. Spine with wear, corners bumped and handling wear. Good to fair overall. "History of American Privateers, and Letters of Marque, During our war with England in the years 1812, 13 and 14", by George Coggeshall. New York: C. T. Evans, 1856, second edition. Inscribed by the author on fly page. Hardbound in embossed cloth boards, engraved frontispiece, in eleven chapters, beautifully illustrated with lithographs of ships. Shelf wear, good tight, interior clean, good condition.
