May 22, 1781-Dated from Revolutionary War "Camp", Order from the Committee of the Pay Table of Connecticut, Choice Very Fine.
Choice quality Manuscript Document on clean fine laid period paper, measuring 9" x 8", from "Camp" (a military encampment somewhere in Connecticut). This Revolutionary War era document consists if two parts. The first is a request to deliver an order to pay to Ephraim Thomas, a "...soldier in the late Col. Meigs' Regiment of the Connect. line for service in said Regt...". The second part is a certification that Ephraim Thomas, "...hath served in the same before the first day of Jany eighty." Signed by Ephraim Thomas and signed as attestor by D. Starr as Capt. Comdt.
