Provenance:
Estate Lise Gujer, Davos (1893 - 1967) with her stamp verso.
Elke Dröscher, Hamburg

Note: Lise Gujer was a French artist with whom Kirchner closely collaborated from 1922. Together they explored the potential of the medium and translated Kirchner’s designs into dynamic fabric compositions. Reportedly, Lise Gujer bought a loom and took up the craft especially for Kirchner, a decision which was to shape the rest of her career. Gujer continued to work on the loom even after the artist’s death, still strongly influenced by his visual language.
Condition: Very good condition. Two soft horizontal creases and soft creasing in the lower right corner.
