Private collection; acquired in 1963 by present owner's grandfather from a single family estate collection; acquired by the great grandfather of the original owner in Arles, France who had a large collection of prints and sketches by Paul Cezanne, Henri Matisse, Claude Monet, etc. The owner's great grandfather owned a grocery store in Arles during the later half of the 19th-20th century and would often trade food for works of art from artists, collectors, etc. This printing a possible unpublished print not intended for sale by the artist from an unknown edition.
