Meissen Porcelain Figural Group Neopolitan Lovers K 163. Neoclassical-Style Male and Female Standing Figures modelled by Heinrich Goesche on a waisted shaped-oval, gilt-trimmed stepped base. The male in brown coat and trousers, stepping forward with top hat in right hand and bouquet in left; she, in white dress with scattered purple and green floral sprays, purple trim and brocade shawl; left hand with fan, and right hand forward waiting for bouquet. Blue underglaze crossed swords mark, with puce hand-written 48. No. K 163 incised to underside front, and impressed 65. Dresden, German. Circa 1965. {8" H. x 5 3/4" W. x 5" D.}. Attractive appearance; her head glued back on to body; and most of his right leg broken off and reglued in place. Both oversprayed, with enamels now visible.
