This cotton 30's crazy/strip stars quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with a nice floral print border and tiny red and white window pane background (reads pinkish as you get some distance from the quilt). It measures 70" X 76" and is in mint, unwashed condition, with a couple of tiny, faint spots (hard to find) and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall. There is ripple quilting around the star design and in grid, straight line, and diamond designs in the background, all at 6 stitches to the inch with faint pencil marks still visible in places. The back and machine stitched, rolled binding are the same off-white, and the batting is thin. The quilt came out of Washington County, Ohio.
