Description
Both of pressed clear glass and depicting the Civil War Hero and 18th President in profile encircled by the legend "The Patriot and Soldier / Ulysses S. Grant," the first a square example made by Bryce, Higbee & Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa. soon after Grant's death on July 23, 1885, the second a round scallop-edge fruit or bread dish, possibly by the Jeanette Glass Company, Jeanette, PA. Largest: 9.5" square.
