Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A handbuilt terracotta figural vessel depicting a corpulent or perhaps pregnant female with a near spherical body and in contrast long slender limbs. Nude with delineated genitalia and a characteristically abstract visage, she is holding an offering vessel in both hands before her. Size: 2.85" W x 3.3" H (7.2 cm x 8.4 cm)

Provenance: private Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA collection; ex-Minerva Gallery; ex-Benjamin Vega, California, USA, acquired in 2006 to 2007; ex-Gene and Virginia George, brought to the USA from 1961 to 1966
