The previous owner was a member of Actors' Equity Association. He had acquired The Collection from a friend in the business upon their retirement some 5-7 years prior. This Collection was housed in Whittier,CA and dated back into the late 1950's early 1960's consisting of original garments of that time period not reproduction pieces.In 1970 the sale of the famous MGM costume department happened. Many items from the movie andtelevision world came to be purchased through auction and/or purchase by the owner of the WhittierCollection during the time of the sell off. These items had MGM labels or the Western Costume label."
