Title: Parker 75 Treasure Gold Fountain Pen and Ballpoint, Very Rare
Place Published: United States
Publisher:
Date Published: c.1977
Description:
Perhaps the rarest and most enigmatic of the Parker 75 variants, little is known about the origins, production and distribution of this fountain pen and click-activated ballpoint set, which remains unknown to many Parker enthusiasts. Parker 75 expert Lih-Teh Wong has stated that the "Treasure Gold" is most likely an advanced prototype that made it to the test-marketing stage. Mr. Wong remarks that "This pen and its stippled finish is reminiscent of the RMS Queen Elizabeth limited edition, the difference being the goldplating. Even the tassies seem to be the same and the size of the cap band, though the engraving is placed on the back of the cap band". Outer box, display box. Both instruments in excellent condition, apparently uncirculated.
