After Ernest Montaut (French, 1879-1936) and other Two works: Drawing of Sir Henry Birken at Brooklands, 1931, and Moscow to St. Petersburg, 1907 The first, depicting Sir Henry Birken at Brooklands in 1931, with quote on mat from Full Throttle, "'Coming off the Byfleet Banking at about 130, the auxiliary petrol tank caught fire and flames began to lick the legs of my overalls...' -Sir Henry Birken, from 'Full Throttle'", colored pencil on paper; the second, a lithograph by Ernest Montaut, signed "E. Montaut", l.r.; both matted and framed.34 in. x 15 in. (Montaut work by sight), 27 in. x 12 1/2 in. (pencil drawing by sight)PROVENANCE:The Collection of a Connecticut Gentleman.

40 1/2 in. x 22 1/2 in. (frame) 35 1/2 in. x 20 1/2 in. (frame) Brooklands work: overall in great condition- mostly clean, with a few minor occasional brown spots/foxing, unexamined out of mat or frame; Montaut work: great condition overal- clean and colors bright, some water staining to lower right quadrant to both work and mat- mat fluoresces under UV light, slight crease near title to lower right corner, unexamined out of mat or frame
