A FRENCH RENAISSANCE REVIVAL GILT BRONZE MANTLE CLOCK, RETAILED BY LAMBERT-VORMUS, PARIS, 19TH CENTURY, with a leafy pinecone finial on an ovoid urn with floral stem cast in relief side reserves flanked by flying buttress style reticulated scrolling foliate handles, on an elaborately detailed and pierced onion form topped rectangular case centering a beaded bronze and domed glass bezel, opening to a white enamel ring dial with stylized black Roman chapters and inscribed "LAMRE ET VORMUS," enclosing blued steel halberd/spear hands on a curling foliate relief modeled face over twin key escapements, verso incised lattice back with circular glass door opening to brass clockworks stamped "H & F / PARIS / 3942 / 8 7," impressed pastille "MEDAILLE DE BRONZE / S. Marti et Cie / ?," within exterior maiden mask cast sides centered by a wide back of two-handled urns on beaded scrolling feet, before a leafy vine entwined stylized strapwork detailed case flanked by corinthian pilasters and raised on griffin head legs ending in paw feet on rectangular reeded pads, joined by a maiden mask cast apron suspending a beaded necklace, lacking pendulum. Condition

Good condition and possibly re-gilt or refreshed gilding in areas, old repairs, oxidized spots in crevices, faint hairline on ring dial and illegible worn inscription under face, slightly bent left handle on urn finial, some normal surface scratches, and tape residue, clockworks have old surface buildup, lacking pendulum and winding key.
