Title attributed from Gignoux's own notebook where he recorded all of his works and sales -- this one with his inventory number 114 on the reverse. A rare and desirable snowy winter scene, likely painted in Gignoux's last decade in America before returning to his native France in 1870. Provenance: From the estate of Arthur B. de Saint Maurice, the great-grandson of Regis Gignoux.
