Description
An Egyptian faience head and a lapis amulet. Lot includes a small lapis amulet in the form of a phallus, the label describing as Mesopotamian, c. 5000 - 4000 BC, well-preserved with small suspension loop. L: 6 mm. The other is an Egyptian bicolor faience head of a youth, Late Period - Ptolemaic, c. 664 - 30 BC, the large eyes and curled hair detailed in black, the top of the back plinth visible at back of head. H: 1 in (2.5 cm). Ex Petersen-Neubauer family collection, Los Angeles.
