Description
An Egyptian steatite scarab, later 2nd Intermediate Period - early 18th Dynasty, c. 1630 - 1500 BC, the body is worn with grooves for legs, on base, a human-headed figure stands with arm extended holding a flower, formulaic inscription below his arm. 16 x 12 mm. Holed lengthwise for suspension. Ex Spangenberg collection, TX.
