Description
A pair of attractive Roman bronze fibulae. The first a knee brooch, 2nd Century AD, with original bronze chain remaining, (3 x 10 cm), and the other a nice crossbow fibula, 3rd Century AD, just missing the pin, (5.4 x 4.2 cm). Both attractively patinated. Ex German private collection acquired in the 1990's, the fibula with chain acquired at HD Rauch, Auction 82.
