Description
French photographer Claude-Marie Ferrier, working for the Paris optician Louis-Jules Duboscq, manufactured the first glass stereoview. Along with Charles Soulier, they established a photography business which produced the finest stereoviews in the nineteenth century. Their successors continued to produce glass stereoviews until the early 20th century.
