Description
Egypt, Late period, ca. 700-30 B.C. Painted wood mummiform figure with hands in relief crossed at chest below the thin aegis collar. Wears tripartite royal wig and bears a single line of vertical hieroglyphics down the front pillar, line and dot filler throughout. Face in mustard brown with black painted features and red lips. Several cracks and paint loss. Mounted on a modern wood block plinth with horus falcon at his feet. Figure stands 15-1/8"H.
