Description
A GROUP OF THREE ROYAL VIENNA STYLE GILT AND ENAMEL DECORATED PORCELAIN CABINET PLATES, GERMANY, CIRCA 1890-1920, comprising "The Rape of Europa," after Paolo Veronese (Italian 1528-1588), signed in red on the front, the subject identified on the back in red "RAUB DER EUROPA," together with over glaze bildenshield mark; and a group including Demeter, Victoria, and Bacchus, signed in red on the front, the subject identified on the back in red "CERES," with overglaze bildenshield mark, impressed "1881, 27." height: 1 1/8", diameter: 10 3/4"; together with a plate with medium blue border with two-tone gilt band of scrolling foliage and beaded white enamel bands, the center with transfer printed scene of partially draped figures, one with grape leaves in her hair being offered baskets of grapes by a young couple, titled "Homace te Bacchus" [sic] signed S. Lattermann," within wide two-tone gilt band with beaded borders, marked with overglaze blue Bildenshield and title in iron red, diameter: 10 5/8".
Condition
