Note: This map shows the "literal tracts" or the courses ships could set to navigate Finland and surrounding territories. A single compass roses is provided. Wind roses issue starburst lines, overlaying the entire map. A figural vignette bears the title and shows a Dutch négociant, or wine merchant, overseeing grape crushing, and negotiating trade with smaller grape growers; the foreground displays bales of cotton, bolts of fabric, and hats. An upper vignette with figures resembling Athena and Poseidon, flanked by a satyr, and a sneaky figure at back, over a turbulent gathering of anthropomorphic personifications of the four winds.
