TWO NORTH NATIVE AMERICAN PAINTED POTTERY WARES, ZUNI AND SANTO DOMINGO, CIRCA 1850-1900, the unusual Zuni water jug of ovoidal form with loop handles and short cylindrical spout centering black and red detailed band of double triangles before a stylized insect above a double register of earth symbols surmounting a narrow black ring and wide red band on a white slip ground, height: 5", circa 1850; a Santo Domingo thick walled pottery bowl enclosing sides of black painted stylized flowers and geometric motifs within a band of rectangular reserves on a cream slip ground, signed on underside "Santo Domingo" above an illegible signature, circa 1890-1900, height: 4 3/4", diameter: 9 3/4".

Each in good condition for Native American pottery of this age and use including but not limited to some expected small surface scratches, light wear as well as normal surface buildup throughout.
