North America, Native American, US Southwest, probably Navajo or Zuni, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A gorgeous sterling silver necklace and earrings both embellished with layers of drooping strands of miniscule tubes of "liquid silver" beads. The lustrous necklace features 10 layered chains capped on both sides with conical beads that hold the clasp and multiple petite spherical beads adorning each strand at various lengths. Each conical end piece bears an engraving of two crown-like shapes. Similarly, the earrings are comprised of 4 drooping chains of tubular silver beads held together at the top with conical caps bearing starburst engravings and a flat circular ornament leading to the hook. The cascading effect of the glistening silver is breathtaking, creating the ethereal illusion of dressing oneself in a silver waterfall. A dazzling piece sure to turn heads!
