Western Europe, Spain, ca. 19th century CE. Two wonderful terracotta vessels with an earthtone orange glaze coating all interior and exterior surfaces. The first jar has a globular body with creamy-yellow floral and wavy motifs, a flared rim, and a single applied strap handle. The second vessel has twin strap handles, an incised rim, and a slight corseted midsection. A beautiful duo! Size of largest (twin handles): 5.25" H (13.3 cm).
Provenance: private Los Angeles County, California, USA collection, acquired by descent from the owner's father, collection amassed between 1950-1990

Condition
Both vessels have age-commensurate surface wear, stable hairline fissures, small chips and abrasions to bodies, rims, and bases, and losses to exterior designs (where applicable). Nice craquelure to glaze, with light earthen and mineral deposits throughout.
