A selection of early 20th century Iranian (Persian) silver cruets, Isfahan circa 1920-30 Late Qajar / early Pahlavi dynasty, comprising four salts, possibly matched. Each of compressed circular form upon three tube and ball feet, the bodies with deep chased monabbat-kari decoration of figures including the investiture of Khosrow Parviz receiving the ring of office from Ahura Mazda the supreme Zoroastrian god, the winged symbol of Ahura Mazda (Ormuzd) supreme god of the Zoroastrian from the Royal Audience Hall of Darius I at Persepolis, flanked by a seated Darius with a fan bearer and servant, investiture of Ardashir I on horseback trampling the Parthian King Ardavan, who receives the ring of office from Ahura Mazda the supreme Zoroastrian god on horseback. Together with two pepper pots, one probably Shiraz the other Isfahan, the top section surmounted by a ball finial with chased and pierced rosette top, similarly decorated. Unmarked.
