ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE HAND-PAINTED FLAT BACK CERAMIC FIGURAL HORSE GROUPS, LOT OF THREE, each on oval base with polychrome enamel decorations, comprising a jockey, a "PRINCESS" portraying the Princess Royal, and an "EMPRESS OF FRANCE" depicting Empress Eugenie. Unmarked. Second/third quarter 19th century. 10 3/4" to 12 1/8" HOA.
Jockey undamaged, except each having moderate crazing with minor expected wear to enamel decorations; empress example having restoration to horse's front leg with some characteristic hairlines; princess example with restoration to scarf.
