ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED WILLIAM PENN AMERICAN HISTORICAL CERAMIC PLATES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising three examples featuring Penn presenting a document to two Indigenous people including a purple/mulberry, red/pink, and green transfer example, and a green transfer example depicting Penn standing with his attendant and Indigenous figures looking through a box of trade goods. Marks include printed structures in landscape with "W. PENNS TREATY / T.G." on banner below. Thomas Godwin, Burslem, England. 1834-1854. 9 1/2" to 10 3/4" D.
Three undamaged with very minimal light short scattered scratches from use; purple example with minor bruise to rim.
