Ming-early Qing Dynasty, 16th-17th century
Seated in rajlilasana with right arm resting on right knee, the left foot supported by a lotus blossom, the dragon below emerging from rock-work. Height 14 3/8 in. (with early shallow, fitted hardwood stand).
Provenance: Descended in the family of Glascow, Delaware collector Constantine (Gus) Sclavos (1896-1985), Glascow, Delaware, to his daughter Mary S. Murphy (1925-2020) Elkton, Delaware; thence by descent
