Rare Hand-carved and Hand-painted Political Wooden Doll is made in a depiction of Abraham Lincoln, no date or place, shown with Lincoln wearing his iconic "Stove Pipe" beaver hat and dressed in his black presidential suit, measuring 14" tall x 3" wide. This appears to be made in Effigy, being an Anti-Lincoln doll of the president made of pine, likely meant for burning in a protest fire. This example is hand-painted in brown, black, white, and beige colors. There are definite signs of age and light handling, plus s couple scattered natural splits in the wood from age. Overall, this rare effigy remains intact and solid. An important piece of memorabilia for any Civil War, Black History, Abraham Lincoln or American Political collection.
