Red and black silk striped evening dress woven with a floral pattern with a bodice covered with shirred chiffon embellished with black jet beads, stand collar, fitted sleeves, and front hook and eye closures; paired with matching silk taffeta brocade skirt trimmed with rows of ruffled black taffeta and red taffeta pleated dust ruffle.

Condition: The overall condition is good structurally with the following: Structural Issues: There is moderate wear to the chiffon under the arms along the seam to the wrist area. The bottom skirt hemline has some minor wear along the edges with some hanging threads and minor splits.  Losses: There is some overall minor bead loss, most noticeable on the front and center back. Fading/Color Change: There are some light spots throughout the chiffon overlay on the bodice, due to the jet beading.  Soiling/Spots: There is some red colored soiling in the shoulders of the lining and faint soiling under the arms.  Corrosion/Tarnish: The jet beads have started to degrade which is causing color loss throughout the bodice, noticeably on the silk chiffon overlay. Repairs/Alterations: The back skirt has what appears to be an alteration made in the past to the back darts but no structural issues. Everything is sold 'As Is'. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use. The absence of any reference to the condition of a lot does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
