Description
Ca. 340 - 320 BC. South Italian. A stemmed cup with flaring rim, tapering body, pedestalled foot and two high, sweeping ear-shaped handles. The vessel is painted on each side with a Lady of Fashion motif. She is depicted wearing a saccos, pearl necklace and golden earrings, line of waves beneath her on each side and band of tongues along the top. Excellent condition.Size: L:165mm / W:106mm ; 320g; Provenance: From an important British collection of Mr. C.S.; originally acquired in the 1980s on the UK/European art markets.
