This is a large ancient terracotta clay relic from the Bura culture, present day Niger, Africa. The BURA ASINDA SIKKA CULTURE is mysterious and not much is known other than the clay idols that are unearthed by farmers and villagers in the region. This handsome and fairly large clay idol head fragment measures 9.25 inches tall (11.5 inches tall on custom display stand.) All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14. From a Private Pennsylvania collection.
