Teenage Jacqueline Kennedy Signed School Group Photograph, 1945
Sepia-toned photograph, measuring 10" x 8", taken in Farmington, Connecticut where she attenced boarding school, dated "Winter 1945". A school group photograph, ten girls in total, with a giggling young Jackie Bouvier seated in the front row. Each girl has signed a message to their friend Betty, writing in blue ink on their light colored shirt fronts. Jackie's message reads: "Dear Betty whenever you get blinded by those -> [arrow pointing at her mouth] flashing teeth - think of me! I love you/Jackie." On verso, the handwritten caption reads: This picture consists of Brick II and III except for Molly Slocum, Biffy Headen, Janet Stevens, Sally Garfield and myself. In the winter of 1945." The girls all attended Miss Porter's Finishing School in Connecticut. With light toning at the edges with minor corner bumping. Faint silvering starting. Boldly signed by Jacqueline Kennedy.
