Armenian ceramic vase, decorated with flowers and vegetal patterns. Painted and glazed clay. Made by the workshop of David Ohannessian or the joint workshop. Jerusalem, Palestine. Circa the 1930s.The Armenian pottery workshop in Jerusalem was founded in 1919, at the end of WWI, when the British invited the iznik master potter David Ohannessian to help with the restoration of the tiles of the Dome of the rock mosque in Jerusalem. The workshop produced ceramics in the traditional Iznik style.Height: approximately 15 cm. Good condition, chips, hairline crack at the top rim, wear.
