Description
One of the first and very successful fiberglass diving helmets to be produced was made by Advanced Diving Equipment Company. The helmet was invented by George Swindell and became very popular with divers around the world, hence the common name given to them, the Swindell helmet. While many were produced, the early examples with just a single large window on the front were made in far fewer numbers. This helmet is one of those early versions in as found original condition. It appears that the helmet was repainted black as the original blue paint is showing through in spots. Great helmet for restoration!
All diving helmets in this auction will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Nations Attic. The certificate will have a unique number that will match the number on a tamperproof hologram decal placed inside the helmet. This information will be kept on permanent file at Nations Attic and help ensure the provenance of the helmet and authenticity.
All items will be shipped with a signature required upon delivery and full insurance either via FedEx or the USPS. Worldwide shipping available. A shipping quote prior to the auction can be provided by emailing your postal code.
