1960s Sound 6 Whitewall Car Tire AM Radio. Circa early to mid 1960s. Made in Japan - the brand name is “Sound 6” This one is much different than all others in style/design, function and size. The Outer hub-cap rim tunes stations, and the 3-ear knock off spinner controls the volume and on/off. Overall diameter 5”. It is in excellent overall condition, though whitewall has yellowed with age. And it works. Dimensions: 5” deep x 3.75” diameter.EXXON Car Tire Radio Steel Belted Radial 78. Circa early to mid 1970s. Great condition and it works. Distributed by Premium Resources International Made in Hong Kong. Tuning and volume are controlled by separate wheel nuts on the front. Approximate dimensions 5"W x 2”D.TYRE RADIO - “The Sound of Speed” with Original Box. Model L-900. Circa late 1960s-early 1970s. Made in Hong Kong. Distributed in the Orient and UK, hence the spelling of the word ‘Tire’ as “Tyre.” Working, good condition, with original hand strap. Completely different design and function, and smaller size than other Tire radios. Great box art featuring early 1970s sports racing cars. Radio is in excellent condition. Box is in overall good condition, but does show a little wear as expected with a 50 year old item. Another extremely unique radio. 4” diameter.
