Description
This lot consists of a framed oil painting on canvas, done in the bold style of Hermenegildo Anglada Camarasa (Spanish, 1871-1959). Image depicts an elegant woman surrounded by flora and flair. Hand-painted inscription at lower left corner reads, "H. Anglada-Camarasa". Framed measurements approximately 31" x 27".
Reverse side of canvas features a faint circular stamp at center (illegible to this author), a stamp at top of frame above picture hook (also illegible), and a stamp at bottom of frame which reads, "61 x 50".
Hermenegildo Anglada Camarasa (Spanish, 1871-1959) was a Parisian painter who adopted his style after Toulouse-Lautrec. Camarasa studied at the Academie Julian and was later involved in the Vienna Secession.
