Description

AMERICAN ADVERTISING PAPER DOLLS AND BOOKLET, LATE 1800s. Three 8 1/2" paper dolls with shoulder heads and arms designed to slip through the neck and sleeves of the two-sided costume, advertising for S. H. & M. Bias Velveteen Skirt Bindings. And, 5" x7" colorful advertising booklet "Travels of the Shaker Salt Doll in the Royal Table Lands of the World" by the Diamond Crystal Salt Company with original "Little Shaker Lady" coupons and the Queens and Kings she met in England. The 15 dolls included in the booklet have been cut and gently attached to folio pages. Commentary: Two dolls and skirt have minor bends, otherwise in very good condition with normal wear and aging.
