Two English Delftware blue and white puzzle jugs

Each painted with script verse in slightly different spellings, "Here Gentlemen come try yr Skill. / Ile hold a wager if you will / that you Dont Drink this liqr all / Without you spill or let some Fall."

Wear commensurate with age and use. The jug illustrated on the left with a small area of loss to edge of one aperture. Some glaze chips at rim. The jug illustrated on the right with two faint hairline cracks at points of the pierced rim, and a three-point star crack to the body, the longest branch measuring approximately 2". The handle with a slender glaze chip. Each with typical firing and glazing imperfections throughout, some minor surface scratching and small chips at extremities. Otherwise in generally good condition.
