Apollo 15. Apollo 15 was the fourth to land on the Moon. The mission began on July 26, 1971, and ended on August 7. At the time, NASA called it the most successful manned flight ever achieved. Commander David Scott and Lunar Module Pilot James Irwin (1930-1991) spent three days on the Moon. Command Module Pilot Alfred Worden (1932- 2020) orbited the Moon.. Postal cover signed by Irwin and Worden, Apollo 15 cachet with a “LEM Moon Lift Off” stamp and Wildlife Conservation commemorative.
