ERIE, Pa. (AP) – Shelley Kendall would rather be rosemaling.

The daughter of a Norwegian mother (her father was German), she was the baby of six children, and the only one to learn the Norwegian folk painting skill.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City has acquired Piet Mondrian’s important formative painting Stammer Mill with Streaked Sky in honor of Henry W. Bloch, Chair Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of the museum.
