French clocks set the pace for lively auction at Moran’s Sept. 12

MONROVIA, Calif. – Following the uncertainty caused by extreme weather seen throughout the South, Moran’s was anxious heading into their Traditional Collector auction Sept. 12. However, the excellent selection of property featured in the catalog brought out the buyers from all over the country and beyond, who cast bids online, by telephone and in person throughout the 3 ½-hour event. The Broad appoints four new members to board of directors

LOS ANGELES – The Broad contemporary art museum has announced the appointment of four new members to its board of directors. Thomas P. Campbell, most recently the director and CEO of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York; Sherry Lansing, CEO of The Sherry Lansing Foundation; Joanne Heyler, founding director of The Broad; and Deborah Kanter, general counsel for The Broad Foundations, are joining the board as directors to help advance the museum’s mission to make its collection accessible to the widest possible audience. The four new board members join founding members Eli Broad, Bruce Karatz, Robert Tuttle and Jay Wintrob.

UK’s National Portrait Gallery to Stage ‘Michael Jackson: On the Wall’

LONDON – The National Portrait Gallery, London will stage “Michael Jackson: On the Wall,” a landmark exhibition exploring how Michael Jackson has inspired some of the leading names in contemporary art. Curated by Dr Nicholas Cullinan, Director of the National Portrait Gallery, London, this major new exhibition spanning several generations of artists across all media will open in the summer of 2018, to coincide with what would have been Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday (on August 29, 2018).
