ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – Tribal and federal officials celebrated the return Wednesday of dozens of cultural items to Acoma Pueblo’s nearly 1,000-year-old village in New Mexico after the tribe spent years pressing for the repatriations of ceremonial items from galleries, auction houses and private collections worldwide.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The New York Yankees pinstripe flannel jersey that Mickey Mantle wore during the 1954 season sold for $575,912 at auction Dec. 19. The jersey, which Mantle also wore during the Yankees’ three home games of the 1953 World Series, was in pristine condition and autographed on the front in black marker.Continue reading
