Met Museum elects new co-chairs to its board of trustees

NEW YORK — The Metropolitan Museum of Art announced today the election of Candace K. Beinecke and Hamilton (“Tony”) E. James as the Co-Chairs of its Board of Trustees, effective January 12, 2021, accepting the recommendation of a committee appointed by the Board last spring and chaired by Trustee Alejandro Santo Domingo. Mrs. Beinecke and Mr. James are succeeding Daniel Brodsky, who served as Chairman of the Board for over nine years. Mr. Brodsky’s term was set to expire in September 2020 but was extended in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
