Yale hosts 50-year retrospective of Nigerian sculptor
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The Yale University Art Gallery has unveiled an exhibition of sculpture by the Nigerian artist Moshood Olusomo Bamigboye (circa 1885–1975), reuniting masterworks housed in collections in the United States, Europe and Nigeria. Bamigboye: A Master Sculptor of the Yoruba Tradition, on view through January 8, 2023, presents a comprehensive examination of the artist’s 50-year career.
